ASC Engineering Day 2022

Overview

This event is all about engineering! While the whole month of February at the ASC is about Engineering, the 26th is our Engineering Day Event! Like most of our special events, we will be presenting our projects in a show and tell format PLUS, we will be hosting some demo competition to kick off our 2022 competition series! We will be presenting demos of Sumo, line following, quick trip, maze solving and combat robot competitions along with a big announcement for the end of summer/early fall!

Things to know:

• Location - The event is at The Adventure Science Center 800 Fort Negley Blvd. Nashville, TN 37203
• Setup - Saturday 9:00am and all vehicles need to be removed from the front of the building by 9:30. We will be setting up in the Green Classroom in the morning and transferring to the MakerSpace after lunch for competitions.
• Competition Schedule - After 1:30pm TBD
• Breakdown - Everything needs to be cleared out by 4:00p.

Things We Need

• Volunteers - We need help with presenting at the booth.
• Projects - Bring your bots and related projects for display - both completed or in-progress are welcomed and appreciated!
• Combat Robots - We need Antweight competitors
• Line Following Robots - We need autonomous competitors
• Sumo Robots - If you have a club kit, bring it! If you have another sumo bot, bring that too!
• Snacks - We need some folks to bring snacks/drinks.
• Extension Cords / Power Strips

Just like all of our other events this is a great opportunity to show Nashville what we are all about. Bring all those awesome projects you’ve been working on. SUMO robots, Arduino projects, Battle Bots, Line followers, Robot Arms, etc. We have the space so lets fill it. Its an opportunity for us to reach people outside the Science Center. Though we’ve been around for 15 years there are still people who don’t know about the group. Lets put our best foot forward.
