Presentation or Workshop(*)

Presentation - A formal in-meeting presentation without attendee participation to be given after Announcements and before member projects and Q&A (25 minutes max).
This is different from Show and Tell in that the content of a presentation should not be about a current or completed project but rather be educational in nature such as presenting tools, techniques, or technologies that apply to technology makers. Presentations can also be a formal request for club volunteers for an outside event.

Workshop - A dedicated workshop that begins at 1:30PM (2 hours 30 minutes max). Workshops need to be arranged with the ASC a month in advance to ensure workspace availability.

  • Common types of solder and why you want to use solder paste
  • Soldering iron tip selection and how to choose the right temperature for your job
  • Common mistakes made by both beginners and pros and how to avoid them
